You Must Use Twitter - But You Don't Have to Tweet

Have you ever declared:

"I Don't Tweet", or "I Don't Text", or "I don't use Facebook"?

We've all had friends and family say those words to us.

Today I want to perform an intervention. You simply can't say "I Don't" to any of these things and expect to remain relevant, or informed.

Here's why.

Twitter is the new oxygen of information. Let me explain.

Radio isn't about a kind of content - it's just a pipe that brings sound to your radio. It can be Classical Music, or News Radio, or Howard Stern. But you don't say - I don't use 'audio' or I don't consume content that comes from a satellite.

The pipe doesn't matter.

Fast Company;Something remarkable happened last Friday. A children's book hit the No. 1 spot on; Amazon.com's best-seller list. And it did so a month before the book is even slated for release.

You may have heard of the book—it's a best-seller after all.Go the Fuck to Sleep; by Adam Mansbach, began its life as a joke Facebook post in June. It was a particularly trying instance of bedtime with his 2-year-old daughter, and Mansbach let off some steam in the form of a humorous status update to his friends: "Look out for my forthcoming children's book, ‘Go the - to Sleep.' "

LibreDigital Launches Self-Service e-Book Distribution Portal

LibreDigital provides a wide range of digital publishing services to 7 of the top 10 US trade publishers. These services include distribution to e-book marketplaces, marketing and discovery tools, managed conversion services, and sales reporting and analytics through LibreDigital Business Intelligence. The new portal allows small to medium publishers to sign up online for distribution and conversion services online and achieve the quality levels that are necessary to gain distribution to over 50 global marketplaces. Distribution services are provided on a revenue share and file conversion services can be charged to the publisher's credit card based on the costs of converting from the original source.

And the entire music industry is dying. And broadcast television might be on the way.  And the tablet industry is the first sign that companies like DELL might be in major trouble. And companies like Sirius mean the radio industry is dead.
